C-TPAT and Supply Chain Risk

The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program was initiated by U.S. authorities following the events of September 11, 2001. The goal is to combat terrorism as well as smuggling and human trafficking.

The supply chain is full of risks and the last thing any company wants is to have its name associated with illegal activity. As such, you need to be aware of the risks involved in international trade and identify where arms or drug smuggling, human trafficking, and so forth, are taking place. How can you reduce the risks in your supply chain, ensure the legitimacy of your business partners and secure your goods?

With a focus on understanding the USCBP’s supply chain risk analysis expectations required by the C-TPAT program and how to integrate them into your business, this training will help you become aware of these risks and explain how to avoid them.

Our customs expert, Yves Lacelle, who has over 40 years of experience in the customs industry, will lead this three-hour webinar that covers the following topics:

  • Benefits of the program
  • Minimum security requirements
  • Hot spots for organized crime, smuggling and illegal labour
